Coalition not commenting on encounters involving Russian forces in Syria: this is very congested battlespace

WASHINGTON/BAGHDAD. June 20 (Interfax) - U.S.-led coalition spokesman Ryan Dillon has dodged a direct question as to whether any encounters involving coalition and Russian forces have occurred lately.

"Syria is a very congested battlespace with many elements - Coalition, Russian, Regime, SDF, etc. - moving on the ground and in the air," Dillon answered the related question of Interfax.

"As a result of recent encounters involving pro-Syrian regime and Russian forces, we have taken prudent measures to reposition aircraft over Syria," he told journalists earlier.

The United States mentioned encounters with pro-governmental forces in Syria before but did not say that Russian forces were involved in those incidents.
