MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - The situation in the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic remains stable, 15 ceasefire breaches were registered in the past 24 hours, the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable. Within last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered eight cases of firing in the provinces of Damascus (four), and Latakia (four). The Turkish party has registered seven cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Daraa (two), al-Quneitra (one), and Damascus (four)," the ministry press service said in its report.
"Most cases of unselective firing from small arms have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents of the ISIL and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groupings [banned in Russia]," the report said.
"Within last 24 hours, the Russian Center for reconciliation of opposing sides held four humanitarian actions in the city of Aleppo, civilians received 2.6 tonnes of sets of food products," the report said.
"In course of the humanitarian action, Russian military physicians provided medical assistance to 88 people," the report said.
