Brussels suggests holding NATO-Russia Council meeting before end of July - Stoltenberg

BRUSSELS. June 29 (Interfax) - NATO has suggested to Moscow calling a session of the NATO-Russia Council meeting before end of July, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told a press conference on Thursday.

The meeting is expected to address the details of the Russian-Belarusian training West 2017, he said.

Stoltenberg said NATO has asked for the training West 2017 to be discussed in the NATO-Russia Council. Several dates were offered to Russia, and NATO hopes that the agenda and dates of the meeting will be approved, he said.

The training West 2017 is scheduled for September 14-20.
