MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - There will be no telephone conversation between the Normandy format leaders (France, Germany, Russia, Ukraine) before a tripartite meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the G20 summit in Hamburg, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
"No, it's already impossible to coordinate this," Ushakov told journalists in reply to a relevant question on Tuesday.
The G20 summit in Hamburg is scheduled for July 7-8.
Asked whether Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko have maintained contacts lately, Ushakov replied there had been no contacts between the two of late.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said when asked by journalists when the Normandy format leaders might hold a telephone talk that this does not depend on Moscow.
"As soon as they reach agreement, it'll be announced right away. We are ready, the matter does not depend on us," he said.
