Peacekeepers may be deployed in de-escalation areas in Syria in 2-3 weeks after document signed - Lavrentyev

ASTANA. July 4 (Interfax) - The peacekeeping forces may be stationed in the de-escalation areas in Syria in 2-3 weeks after the document establishing such areas is signed, Russian special envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev said.

"Depending on the date of signing the document on setting up security zones, I think that one can count on undertaking concrete actions for the deployment of forces approximately within 2-3 weeks," Lavrentyev said at a press conference following the first day of talks on Syria in Astana.
