Explosion occurs in downtown Luhansk, woman killed - source

MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - An explosion occurred near the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic's (LPR) government house, there are victims, a source in the LPR's law enforcement structures told Interfax.

"Several people were injured in an explosion that had occurred near the entrance to the government house in the heart of Luhansk; a woman sustained the most of injuries. According to preliminary information, she died on the way to hospital," the source said.

An improvised explosive device went off, the source said. "Law enforcement bodies of the LPR qualified the explosion as a terror attack," the source said.

The incident site is currently cordoned off by LPR law enforcers, an Interfax correspondent reported from Luhansk.
