S. Korean president: Russia plays big role in solution of N. Korea issue (Part 2)

HAMBURG. July 7 (Interfax) - North Korea threat issues should be tackled collectively, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"The North Korean nuclear provocation is a threat not only to the Korean region, but also to the entire Asian region," Moon Jae-in said.

The international community should work together on resolving this issue, he said.

"We give Russia a big role here," the South Korean president said.

He said he will definitely attend the economic forum in Vladivostok. "I want to thank you for the invitation to Vladivostok. I will participate in this forum," the South Korean president said.

The South Korean president invited the Russian president to visit South Korea. "It will be a very good opportunity to discuss all issues between our countries," Moon Jae-in said.

South Korea manifests big interest in cooperation with Russia in the Far East and regarding the Northern Sea Route, he said.

"I have a very substantial interest in joint cooperation in the Far East and cooperation on the Northern Sea Route," Moon Jae-in said while meeting with Putin.
