LUHANSK. July 7 (Interfax) - The LPR security and law enforcement structures are working intensively due to the terrorist attacks in Luhansk, doing everything possible to prevent possible subsequent aggressive actions, Igor Plotnitsky, the head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, said.
"A number of glaring terrorist attacks were committed today in central Luhansk in broad daylight. The explosions occurred in a densely populated area not far from the city's recreation place, a children's playground, and militia headquarters," Plotnitsky said in a statement posted on his official website.
"Terrorist attacks are always aimed at intimidating the entire civilian population not just their victims," he said.
"I want to assure you that the administration of the republic, the law enforcement agencies and the special services are working intensively and are doing everything possible to punish those responsible for these terrorist attacks and prevent possible subsequent aggressive actions," Plotnitsky said.
Plotnitsky offered his condolences to the families of the people killed by the explosions in Luhansk and wished the people injured by the blasts a speedy recovery.
