MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - The outcome of the meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States can be called a breakthrough, Konstantin Kosachyov, the head of the Federation Council committee on international affairs, said.
"I admit that the outcome of the meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States has surpassed my [expectations], and I am confident, not only my expectations. A lot of specifics, Russia and the United States are either beginning practical interaction (Syria) or discussions (Ukraine, cyber security) on key issues determining the nature of bilateral relations," Kosachyov told Interfax.
"In some sense it's a breakthrough. Absolutely definitely psychologically, and possibly practically," he said.
