Moscow advocates seeking new approaches to settlement on Korean Peninsula - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy Joseph Yun have held consultations in Washington on July 6, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

"The parties exchanged views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Southeast Asia. The Russian side emphasized the importance of a collective search of new approaches to the issues existing in the region in line with the general military and political de-escalation and the dismantling of the confrontational architecture," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
