Russia's book of arms exports orders tops $45 bln - Rosoboronexport (Part 2)

MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax) - Russia's book of orders for exports of weapons and military hardware has topped $45 billion, Rosoboronexport General Director Alexander Mikheyev said.

"We managed to enlarge the book of orders from $42 billion to more than $45 billion in the first half of 2017," a report posted on Rosoboronexport's website quoted Mikheyev as saying.

"Thanks to our joint efforts, Russia currently occupies the second place on the global arms market," he said.

"In the past five years, the company's exports accounted for 15% of global military exports, while Russia's overall share stood at about 17%," Mikheyev said.
