KYIV. July 10 (Interfax) - Ukraine intends to center on crucial reforms so that to comply with the NATO standards, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Let me underscore again that this does not mean we will immediately file for membership. Absolutely not. It means that we need to draw up a realistic reform program, a program of our cooperation, and to step up our efforts towards the achievement of required standards. We will need assistance and cooperation with our NATO partners for doing so," Poroshenko said at the Monday meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission in Kyiv.
