Group of Russian inspectors to visit Bulgaria

MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax) - A group of Russian inspectors will visit the territory of Bulgaria under the 2011 Vienna document on confidence-building and security measures, head of the Russian Nuclear Threat Reduction Center Sergei Ryzhkov said.

"A group of Russian inspectors plans to inspect the said area on the territory of Bulgaria under the 2011 Vienna document on confidence-building and security measures on July 10-13," the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda quoted Ryzhkov as saying.

The inspection will cover 18,000 square kilometers of Bulgarian territory, he said.

"The program of the visit envisages visits to firing ranges and organization of briefings. In the course of it, Russian inspectors will be provided with information on the military activities conducted, and also on the Peace Guard 2017 training scheduled by Bulgaria jointly with the United States and Serbia for the period between July 10 and July 20," Ryzhkov said.
