BAKU. July 10 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has met with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the Azerbaijani presidential website said.
The meeting took place in Istanbul on Monday.
Later Azerbaijani presidential website reported that Aliyev and Tillerson discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
"Aliyev once again informed the interlocutor of the Azerbaijani position on the conflict settlement and of the latest Armenia's provocations on the frontline," the report said.
Tillerson lauded Azerbaijan's participation in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, including its role as a logistics and transport corridor.
"The parties also discussed political and economic reforms in Azerbaijan, as well as democracy development, at the meeting," the report said.
