TBILISI. July 17 (Interfax) - Officials from the Georgian bureau of Interpol and patrol police detained a citizen of Israel wanted by Spain at the Tbilisi international airport.
The man has been on the Interpol wanted list since 2007. Spanish prosecutors have charged him with counterfeiting money and stamps of Spanish government institutions, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported on Monday.
Procedures preparing the suspect's extradition to Spain have been launched, it said.
