MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian paratroopers will participate in three contests of the International Army Games 2017 which are to take place in Belarus, Kazakhstan and China, the Russian Defense Ministry's information and mass communication department told Interfax-AVN.
"All teams have presently concluded preparations for international competitions and are ready to be deployed to the areas where their contests are to be held," the department cited Lt. Gen. Andrei Kholzakov, the deputy commander of the Airborne Troops, as saying.
"As a team, troopers will compete in the Airborne Platoon contest, which will be held in one of ranges in mountains in China this year, and in the Drone Competition in the Kazakhstan," the department said.
"Apart from that, three servicemen of the Airborne Troops' separate special operations brigade are included in the representative team of the Russian Armed Forces leaving for Belarus to compete in the Commonwealth Warrior contest," it said.
