MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax) - Dual-purpose infrastructure will be built in the remote parts of the Arctic region to be used as bases for civilian vessels and military ships, according to the fundamentals of the Russian state policy for naval affairs through 2030.
The presidential decree approving the document was published on the official legal information online portal.
"The creation in the remote districts of Russia's Arctic and Far-Eastern regions of dual-purpose infrastructure facilities for the purpose of providing bases for civilian vessels and the ships and vessels of the Navy and Federal Security Service agencies" is one of the main economic tasks of the state policy for the navy, the document says.
