MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - The Russian Navy should develop in the well-balanced manner in order to disallow exclusive domination of the naval forces of the United States and other leading sea powers over it, the fundamentals of the Russian state policy for naval affairs through 2030 indicated.

"The priority trends in the state policy for naval affairs are: maintenance of Navy's operational and combat capacities at the level ensuring one of the leading positions in the world for it; development and maintenance of the Navy's capacity to hit the potential adversary's ground sites by both conventional and nuclear weapons," the document approved by the Russian presidential decree indicated.

The document was published on the official legal information online portal.

Meanwhile, the state policy's priority trend is "the Navy's well-balanced development for the purposes of averting the exclusive dominance of the United States and other leading sea powers over it."

"The Russian Federation will disallow the drastic prevalence of the other countries' naval forces over the Navy and will seek for retaining its second position in the world in terms of combat capacities," the document also said.
