BISHKEK. Aug 11 (Interfax) - The Kyrgyz National Security Committee has detained a citizen of a CIS country plotting to transport regional residents to armed conflict zones in the Middle East, a committee spokesman told Interfax on Friday.
"A citizen of a CIS country has been detained; he was wanted for a number of crimes in the country of origin," the spokesman said.
"Being a member of an international terrorist organization, he intended to stay in Kyrgyzstan to arrange continuous transportation of citizens of Central Asian countries to the Middle East," the spokesman said.
The detainee was transferred to partner law enforcers for the purpose of prosecution, he said.
