Senator Pushkov proposes symmetrically response to possible restriction of Russian diplomats' movements in U.S

MOSCOW. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Russia must respond symmetrically to a restriction of its diplomats' movements in the United States, Alexei Pushkov, head of the Federation Council committee on information policy, said.

"Should the U.S. restrict the movement of our diplomats to ten to 15 miles from the center of Washington, we must respond likewise. This will save them petrol," Pushkov wrote on Twitter.

U.S. authorities may halve the radius of movement for Russian diplomats and toughen notification procedures in response to the reduction of staff numbers at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Russia, the Izvestia newspaper reported on Monday, citing diplomatic sources.
