Lavrov hopes Iran to not quit nuclear deal, U.S. to stick to JCPOA

MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Moscow hopes that Iran will not quit the nuclear deal and the United States will stick to its obligations, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference on Wednesday following negotiations with the Bolivian colleague.

"As to the remark by President [Hassan] Rouhani that Iran may quit the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was signed to settle the situation around the Iranian nuclear program, I hope that won't happen," Lavrov said.

"I also hope the United States will not breach its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action," Lavrov said.
