Terrorism isn't main theory of knife attack at Surgut residents, attacker's mental status checked - Interior Ministry

YEKATERINBURG. Aug 21 (Interfax) - The man, who had committed an attack at Surgut residents on Saturday, was tentatively identified, information on his mental condition is being verified, the press service for the Russian Interior Ministry's department for the Khanty-Mansi autonomous district told Interfax.

Therefore, "the theory that the attack was an act of terrorism is not the main one," it said.

According to updated information, seven persons were injured.
