Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard to show off export-bound mine countermeasures ship, minesweeper at Army-2017 forum

MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (SNSZ, part of United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC) will take part in the Army-2017 International Military-Technical Forum where potential customers will be shown both completed projects and those planned for construction on the shipyard's slipways, a company spokesperson told Interfax on Friday.

"At the joint USC stand the shipyard will be exhibiting its export projects: a Project 12701 mine countermeasures ship of base area and a Project 10750E coastal minesweeper. It is important to note that the construction of these ships was successfully trialed on the head orders," the spokesperson said.

SNSZ is the leader on the Russian market for the production of composite structures, processing up to 1,000 tonnes of composite materials per year. The shipyard offers its customers a wide range of products and services, from mine countermeasures ships and civilian vessels, its traditional specialty, to promising models of weapon for the Russian Defense Ministry to joint projects with many big Russian companies.

In Russia the plant has had a monopoly on the production of mine countermeasures ships for around 80 years.

The Army-2017 forum will be held at Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center, near Kubinka, Moscow region, on August 22-27.
