Small inspector satellite lifted off by rocket carrier in interests of Russian Defense Ministry on June 23 put into orbit (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax-AVN) - An inspector satellite has separated from a space platform launched on behalf of the Defense Ministry on June 23 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on Wednesday, the Defense Ministry information and mass communications department told Interfax-AVN.

"A small satellite designed to inspect the condition of a domestic satellite, has separated from this platform today," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"A scientific experiment to examine the exterior appearance of this satellite via a small spacecraft is planned for the near future," the statement said.

A spacecraft, which was designed on behalf of the Russian Defense Ministry, was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on June 23, 2017.

"The spaceship is a space platform, on which different variants of payload can be placed," the statement said.
