KUBINKA (Moscow region). Aug 24 (Interfax) - Plans to deliver S-400 air defense missile systems to Turkey meet Russia's geopolitical interests, director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugayev told Interfax on Thursday.
"Talks on delivering long-range missile defense systems to Turkey are actually being held. Certain reference points of our further cooperation have been outlined. All of the decisions adopted in this area strictly comply with the geopolitical and strategic interests of the Russian Federation," Shugayev said at the Army 2017 forum when asked what stage the S-400 delivery contract with Turkey is currently in.
