KYIV. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The investigation into the killing of former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov has almost been completed, Ukraine's deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin said.
"It has de facto been solved, and the results will be made public as soon as the interests of the investigation allow. I can only say that this murder has been almost fully resolved. Investigators already know the key information," Yenin said in an interview published by Insider on Monday.
According to earlier reports, Voronenkov was killed in central Kyiv on March 23. The assassin, Pavlo Parshov, was wounded by the former deputy's security guard and later died at the hospital.
Voronenkov's assassin had an accomplice, Yaroslav Levenets, who has been wanted for economic crimes since 2012. Yaroslav Tarasenko is also a suspect in the crime. He was detained on July 16.
