Next Astana meeting to be held on September 13-15 - Russian General Staff (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Sept 6 (Interfax) - The sixth meeting in Astana on peaceful settlement of the situation in Syria will be held on September 13-15, Col. Gen. Staff Sergei Rudskoi, Chief of the Main Operative Directorate of the Russian General Staff, said.

"The next, sixth meeting between representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition in Astana will be held on September 13-15. Documents governing the actions by the de-escalation control forces in all four de-escalation zones, including Idlib, and also provisions on a joint coordination center, are expected to be adopted there," Rudskoi told a briefing on Wednesday.

The negotiations in the 'Astana format' have proven effective, which is confirmed by ceasefire observance by all parties to the intra-Syrian conflict and active renewal of peaceful life on Syrian territory liberated from militants.
