VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 7 (Interfax) - North Korea should be compelled to immediately fulfill every relevant resolution of the UN Security Council and shut down every nuclear weapon program, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said at the Eastern Economic Forum on Thursday.
"North Korea has been seriously challenging the international community. It is transforming into a source of unprecedented threat, which requires an immediate response," Abe said.
"North Korea is pursuing a course towards escalation of open challenges to peace, prosperity, law and order both in the region and the world at large," Abe said.
"We must compel North Korea to implement every relevant resolution of the UN Security Council fully and immediately and shut down nuclear weapon and ballistic missile programs," Abe said.
