Militarization of region due to situation on Korean Peninsula may lead to large-scale military conflict - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has warned that the fuelling of military tensions around the Korean Peninsula may lead to a large-scale military conflict.

"We consider the militarization of the region, which is taking place rapidly on both sides on the pretext of ensuring internal security, to be extremely dangerous," Zakharova said.

Such "regional arms race will inevitably lead to a large-scale military conflict," she said.
