MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia has seen three truce breaches in Syria in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"Russian members of the joint Russian-Turkish commission investigating ceasefire breaches observed three shooting incidents in the provinces of Aleppo (1), Hama (1) and al-Quneitra (1) during the day. Turkish members of the commission observed seven breaches in the provinces of Damascus (5) and Hama (2)," the statement said.
Most cases of random small arms fire were seen in the areas held by fighters of the Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIL terrorist groups (banned in Russia), it said.
"The situation in the de-escalation areas has been stable," the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria performed three humanitarian operations during the day: 3.3 tonnes of food were brought to the civilian population in Deir ez-Zor, 4.4 tonnes of food distributed in al-Rastan in the Homs province, and 50 schoolbags supplied to students in Zibdin in the Damascus province, the statement said.
"No agreements on the cessation of hostilities were signed during the day. The number of populated localities engaged in the reconciliation process remained at 2,233," the ministry said.
