MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov has held a Federal Operational Headquarters meeting at which the issues of cooperation in fighting terrorist threats in the North Caucasus were discussed, a statement on the National Anti-Terrorism Committee's (NAC) website said on Tuesday.
"Pressing issues concerning the streamlining of cooperation and planning the activity of federal bodies of the executive branch and bodies of the executive branch of power in Russian constituent territories while working to combat of terrorism in the North Caucasian Federal District were considered at the headquarters meeting," the statement said.
Chiefs and executives of Russian federal bodies of the executive branch, key personnel from the Russian Federal Security Service, the administration of NAC, and chiefs of operational headquarters in Russian constituent territories in the North Caucasian Federal District attended the meeting, which was chaired by Federal Operational Headquarters head and FSB Director Bortnikov.
