MOSCOW. Sept 29 (Interfax) - Reports that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State (ISIL) terrorist organization (banned in Russia) may still be alive will not impact the successful completion of the military operation in Syria in the "foreseeable future", Russian State Duma Defense Committee Chairman Vladimir Shamanov told Interfax.
"It will not have any effect at all because all of the processes that are ongoing today show that this process is irreversible and the operation will conclude successfully in the foreseeable future," Shamanov said when responding to a question from Interfax on Friday.
