YEREVAN. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan hopes that Tel-Aviv will conduct a full-fledged investigation into reports of the involvement of Israeli operators in strikes using drones in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Control is the direct duty of the country exporting weapons. We hope that a full-fledged investigation will be conducted, as a result of which appropriate measures will be taken," Sargsyan told a press conference on Monday.
Israeli media said earlier that specialists of the company Aeronautics Defense Systems (ADS), which manufactures drones, had delivered strikes on Armenian positions in Nagorno-Karabakh in April 2016 at the request of the Azerbaijani military.
The Israeli Defense Ministry's export-control department had later temporarily blocked a deal to supply a set of Orbiter K1 drones worth $20 million to Azerbaijan, Israeli media said.
Israeli should clarify the issue, the head of the Armenian government's commission on external relations Armen Ashotyan, said.
