Las Vegas shooting "barbaric crime" - Volodin

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Russian Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has expressed condolences over the shooting in Las Vegas that resulted in huge loss of life, according to a statement on the lower house's official site on Tuesday.

In a telegram to the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, Volodin said in particular: "On behalf of State Duma deputies and myself, I personally extend to you and all American people deepest condolences over the tragedy that took place in Las Vegas."

"Our parliamentarians are sharing pain and grief with those who lost their relatives and loved ones as the result of this barbaric crime, and wishing swift recovery to the injured," Volodin said.
