Tehran to continue honoring obligations on nuclear deal until other participants violate it - Larijani (Part 2)

ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has reaffirmed Tehran's commitment to its international obligations as part of the Iran nuclear deal.

"We remain committed to our international obligations, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action," Larijani said at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in St. Petersburg on Friday.

"Iran will continue to honor its obligations until other signatories violate this agreement," he said.

Iran stands ready to play its important role in restoring peace and security, Larijani said.

"The wide and diverse range of security threats requires us to look for solutions and immediate collective responses to these threats," he said.

It is imperative to consolidate regional states' efforts on this issue, he said.

The CSTO, "as one of the security organizations in this strategically important region, can play a constructive and positive role in the global fight against terrorism," Larijani said.

It was reported earlier that Iran's parliamentary delegation holds observer status with the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
