ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said she will try to talk the North Korean delegation at the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in St. Petersburg into meeting with representatives of South Korea.
"One needs to get North Korea back to the negotiation table," Matviyenko said during a meeting with South Korean Parliament speaker Chung Sye-kyun on the sidelines of the 137th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly.
