ASTANA. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed into law a bill ratifying the agreement on the movement of service-issue and civilian weapons between member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the presidential press service said on Wednesday.

The EAEU member states signed the agreement in Yerevan on May 20, 2016.

The agreement applies to legal entities which move and conduct domestic transit of service-issue and civilian weapons; individuals registered as individual entrepreneurs moving and conducting domestic transit of civilian weapons for the purposes of licensed entrepreneurial activity allowed by laws of member states; and individuals moving and conducting domestic transit of civilian weapons, as well as civilian and/or service-issue weapons received as an award consistent with laws of member states.

The uniform permits approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission will be issued by relevant member state agencies to applicants in the procedure and within the period prescribed by the laws of member states.

The ratification of these documents will enable the relevant agencies of EAEU member states to exercise swift and full control over movement of civilian and service-issue weapons.
