ARKHANGELSK. Oct 19 (Interfax) - All Russian troops that were involved in the Russian-Belarusian joint military exercise Zapad 2017 (West 2017) have returned to their permanent bases, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Just take, for instance, the fairy tale about Russian troops that will stay in Belarus following the exercise. What's funny is that, when this exercise was finished and the Russian troops involved in them returned to their permanent bases long ago, some still keep claiming that some servicemen are left there after all," Lavrov said at a press conference following a meeting of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council (BEAC) in Arkhangelsk.
"You see, it's just sad that adult people should be engaged, to put it bluntly, in making full of their voters," he said.
