Putin calls for resolving N. Korean problem in dialogue, not resorting to threats

SOCHI. Oct 19 (Interfax) - The situation surrounding the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) should be settled via a dialogue, without any threats and rudeness toward Pyongyang, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

"Of course, this problem should be resolved in a dialogue, without cornering North Korea, not threatening to use the force and not going down to outright rudeness or swearing," Putin said at a plenary meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi on Thursday.
