Russian-U.S. cooperation on Syria not argument-free, but still more positive than not - Putin

SOCHI. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Russia and the United States are in constant contact on Syria; there are more positive than negative things to the process, President Vladimir Putin said.

"We are in constant, stable, complex, not argument-free contact with our American partners in this direction, on this track. Still there are more positive things to this cooperation than negative things," Putin said at a session of the Valdai Discussion Club.

He said that thus far, Russia and the United States have succeeded in agreeing on many things, including the issue of the de-escalation zone in Southern Syria.
