MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov met with IAEA Deputy Director General Tero Varjoranta on Friday to discuss the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the situation surrounding the North Korean nuclear issue, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
"There was a detailed exchange of opinions on a number of key issues on the agency's agenda, including the implementation of the JCPOA for the Iranian nuclear program settlement, the role of the IAEA in the context of the Korean Peninsula nuclear problem settlement, as well as the reform of the IAEA safeguard system," the statement said.
