Allegations of Russia's understating Zapad 2017 parameters "baseless" - Grushko

BRUSSELS. Oct 26 (Interfax) - The allegations that Russia understated the parameters of Zapad 2017 (West 2017) exercise are unsubstantiated, Russia's permanent representative to NATO Alexander Grushko said.

"Today we are hearing the rebukes that the parameters of Zapad exercise supposedly were different to those stated, but these assessments, first of all, are not based on anything; secondly, these assessments were voiced even before the start of the exercise proper," Grushko told journalists after a NATO-Russia Council meeting on Thursday.
