Russia sees 3, Turkey 3 truce breaches in Syria in past 24 hours

MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Russia has recorded three truce violations in Syria in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The situation in the de-escalation areas has been stable. Russian members of the joint Russian-Turkish commission investigating breaches of the cessation of hostilities have observed three instances of gunfire, including two in the Aleppo governorate and one in the Hama governorate," the ministry said.

Turkish inspectors also recorded three violations in the Idlib and Damascus governorates, it said.

"Most instances of random small-arms fire were seen in districts held by militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIL terrorists groups [banned in Russia]," it said.
