JCCC observation post comes under shelling from Ukraine - DPR (Part 2)

DONETSK. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun shelling an observation post of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) in the south of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a DPR representative in the JCCC said.

"The shelling of the Bezimenne observation post began at 3.25 p.m. today, October 27, with 25 82mm mortar rounds fired. Fire is being carried out from the populated locality of Shyrokyne. The entire JCCC monitoring team, including Russian, DPR and Ukrainian officers, are in a shelter," the DPR representative told journalists on Friday.

Later he reported a shell attack on workers at a Donetsk filtration station (DFS).

"Today, October 27, after finishing their shift at 3:20 p.m. the group of personnel which services the Donetsk filtration station came under shelling from the Ukrainian armed forces in Kaminka," the DPR representative said.

Two 82mm mortars rounds were fired with in close proximity to the DFS, while small arms were fired on the road, he said.

"At this point, the group of personnel has managed to leave, luckily no one was injured," he said.

Furthermore, a civilian was killed in a shell attack in the village of Trudovske on Friday evening, the JCCC representative said.

"Today, at 7 p.m., as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a civilian in the village of Trudovske died from a fragmentation wound to the abdomen," he said.

The attack was carried out with 82 mm mortars from Maryinka, he said.
