DUSHANBE. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The positions of ISIL, terrorist organization banned in Russia, are growing stronger in Afghanistan, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said during a meeting with journalists in Dushanbe, which aired on Tajikistan's national television.
Patrushev told journalists about his meeting in Kabul with Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani yesterday.
"We spoke about issues relating to the stable development of Afghanistan, about how to swiftly calm the situation there, how to reduce the threats coming from this country. We are concerned about it. We are ready to help the republic of Afghanistan and it is in our interests to minimize the threats of terrorism, which have now formed there. The fact that ISIL is now being formed there poses special danger," Patrushev said.
