VLADIVOSTOK. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The Pacific Fleet destroyer Admiral Panteleyev and the large sea tanker Boris Butoma arrived in Thailand on Monday on an unofficial visit to take part in the naval parade marking the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
"After the naval group moored in the bay of Pattaya, a number of organizing conferences were held with the hosting party," the Pacific Fleet spokesperson said.
The Pacific Fleet sailors will take part in the ASEAN anniversary parade this Sunday, November 19.
Plans also include Russian diplomats in Thailand visiting the Pacific Fleet ships, as well as reciprocal visits by ASEAN sailors to warships also taking part in the parade.
The unofficial visit will continue through November 21.
