Russia negotiating Su-35 supplies with many Middle East countries - FSMTC

DUBAI (UAE). Nov 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Many countries of the Middle East are interested in buying Su-35 fighter jets, and negotiations are underway, a spokesman for the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) told Interfax.

"Speaking of Su-35 jets, negotiations are in progress with many countries of this region [the Middle East]," the spokesman said.

"It would be premature to speak of signing concrete contracts," he said.

It was reported earlier that Russia was negotiating the delivery of Su-35 fighters to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Russian presidential aide Vladimir Kozhin told Interfax in late September that Russia and the UAE might conclude a Su-35 contract by the end of this year.
