MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - The terms of the prisoner exchange between Ukraine and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics depend on Ukraine at the moment, Leonid Kalashnikov, the head of the Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Compatriots, told Interfax.
"It depends on the Ukrainian side when this exchange may happen. The ball is currently in their court," Kalashnikov said, replying to a relevant question on Friday.
"If, for instance, it solely depended on [DPR head] Alexander Zakharchenko, he would have already named the date," he said.
"The Ukrainian side should decide on surnames and finally approve the list and the place, where it is to happen," Kalashnikov said.
He said he believes that "Ukrainians have taken a time-out", they "don't want to hurry after Putin all at once instead of being happy [about the swap]."
