BAKU. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Baku can see possible solutions for some difficult aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said, adding that has told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on them.
"Today I informed Sergei Viktorovich [Lavrov] before his trip to Yerevan that there are some possible solutions that will help get things moving out of the situation we have today," Mammadyarov said at a news conference following his meeting with Lavrov in Baku on Monday.
The consultations with Minsk Group co-chairs that took place in Moscow last week were "intensive and substantive," Mammadyarov said.
"We discussed specific issues regarding problems for which solutions cannot be found at this point," he said.
The work ahead will not be easy, he added. "All ideas are on the table. One has to put them all together into a coherent whole, but that's hard work," Mammadyarov said.
The current status quo is unacceptable, he went on to say. "Everybody knows in which direction one needs to move in order to resolve the conflict," he said.
"UN Security Council resolutions have no expiry dates. I am sure the requirements set out in the resolutions will be met one day. It's just a matter of time," Mammadyarov said.
