Russia processing several Kabul's requests for military supplies - Russian presidential rep

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Russia is processing several requests from Kabul for the delivery of military hardware in the framework of the countries' intergovernmental agreement, the Russian President's Special Representative for Afghanistan and Director of the Foreign Ministry's Second Asia Department, Zamir Kabulov, said in an interview published on the website of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.

"The intergovernmental agreement on military-technical assistance to Afghanistan took effect in November 2016 [in order] to lay a legislative foundation for Russia's assistance in the arming and equipping of the Afghan Armed Forces," Kabulov said.

"Our agencies are processing several requests from Afghanistan," he said.
